Bridge Restrictions
- Until further notice, there is a 16.5 ft height restriction on all vehicles traveling the bridge.
- No wide loads / oversized loads are allowed on the bridge.
Eastbound Lane Closures (West Bank to Elmwood):
- Left lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, February, 8 through Friday, February, 12. One hour closures will be advised on a daily basis.
Westbound Lane Closures (Elmwood to West Bank):
- Left lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, February, 8 through Friday, February, 12. One hour closures will be advised on a daily basis.
U.S. 90
- The right eastbound lane of U.S. 90 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Traffic will be tapered to one lane prior to the West Bank traffic circle, close the shoulder along Bridge City Ave.
Bride City Ave
- On Saturday, January 30, a one lane two-way traffic closure is needed to perfom milling and overlaying work. The closure will be from 6th St. to the west side of the project limits.
The speed limit on the bridge is 35 mph in construction zones.
No oversized loads are allowed on the bridge during the work. Lane closures are subject to change based on weather, wind and site conditions. Alternate routes are the Hale Boggs Bridge and Crescent City Connection.
