 Public Outreach Office
The Huey P. Long Bridge Widening public outreach office is located in the Joseph S. Yenni Building, 1221 Elmwood Park Blvd., Suite 311 in Jefferson.
The office serves as the chief location for information regarding the widening of the Huey P. Long Bridge.
Office hours are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition to visiting the office, the public can get information by contacting the public outreach office at (504) 731-4200, toll-free at (866) 846-3352 or by email at hueypbridgeinfo@latimedmgrs.com.
The public can visit the office to view project renderings, historical bridge photos, maintenance of traffic graphics and ask questions.
Advisory Team Information
The Huey P. Long Public Outreach Office has launched the Huey P. Long Business Advisory (HPL BAT) and Community Advisory (HPL CAT) Teams. These bimonthly community meetings are a service to provide the public with the latest project news.
HPL BAT
The Huey P. Long Business Advisory Team will give business owners a forum to learn about the Huey P. Long Bridge Widening Project and ask questions regarding the project.
The next scheduled BAT meeting is on June 18, 2008 from 1-2 p.m. at the East Bank Regional Library.
HPL CAT
The Huey P. Long Community Advisory Team is designed for residents to stay updated on the Huey P. Long Bridge Widening Project and to meet with staff involved with the project.
The next scheduled CAT meeting is on June 12 from 7-8 p.m. at the Bridge City Fire Station, 2220 Bridge City Ave., Bridge City, La. 70094.
The HPL BAT is geared toward businesses and the HPL CAT is geared toward residents, however both meetings are open to anyone interested in the widening project.
